Vacancy parliamentary assistant - one.brussels - sp.a

 

ASSIGNMENT

  1. Provide substantive, administrative, organizational and communication support for the parliamentary work of Brussels MPs Els Rochette, Hilde Sabbe and Fouad Ahidar and the party in general.

  2. Liase with the national sp.a, the Brussels cabinet, the local chapters & their elected officials in Brussels.

 

TASKS

  • You are responsible for the development and substance of legislative files: expertise building, writing parliamentary questions and interpellations and preparing debates. Your work will be focused on areas such as social affairs, health policy and equal opportunities for all.

  • You will have to draw up a communication strategy for MPs (press, social media, website) and you are jointly responsible for its implementation.

  • You proactively participate in the development of a network in relevant policy areas (including CRM).

  • You will maintain contact with various sections of our political party, for example the cabinet of State Secretary Pascal Smet, and the local chapters in Brussels.

  • You support the members of parliament in the practical organization of actions and events, both in the context of parliamentary work, and their local engagement for one.brussels - sp.a.

 

 

PROFILE

  • You are progressive and convinced of the mission and vision of one.brussels - sp.a.

  • You live in Brussels and are familiar with the Brussels political, social and cultural context. Ideally, you are familiar with the Brussels institutions.

  • You are a constructive team player, enthusiastic, flexible, independent and with an entrepreneurial spirit.

  • You have strategic political insight and are able to translate that in a strategic and communicative way. A background in communication and expertise in the field of social media are therefore a strong plus.

  • Experience in the social, health, employment and / or diversity sector is highly desirable.

  • You have an excellent knowledge of Dutch, written and spoken, and a good knowledge of French.

  • You can plan your activities and you have experience with setting up promotional projects and events.

  • You are also prepared to work in the evenings and at the weekend.
