Who are we?
We are not simply a political project, but also a movement. Simple, fair and efficient government for Brussels is the core business of one.brussels-Vooruit.We are building a city for everyone, with a State Secretary, three Brussels MPs, a Flemish MP, our local representatives and many volunteers and sympathisers.
Mission
Your ultimate goal: to make people enthusiastic about one.brussels-Vooruit and to make the movement grow. By taking the movement's communication to a higher level, you make sure more people in Brussels know about one.brussels and have a positive image of the work we do for the city. Thanks to your work, we are able to attract more committed people from Brussels to our progressive urban project.
Tasks
- You co-design the communication strategy of the one.brussels-Vooruit movement and the individual strategy for the members of parliament and local representatives
- You further develop this unambiguous communication strategy in relation to various stakeholders
- You are jointly responsible for the communication, content and social media planning
- You write posts, press releases, website messages and articles for our newsletter
- You build a network of journalists who report on Brussels politics
- You analyse our existing communication channels and look for optimisations, also in terms of advertising strategies
- You support the local representatives in their communication strategy and campaigns
- You help build the movement by promoting activities with online content
- You work together with various actors within the broad movement one.brussels-Vooruit, including the cabinets and the communication service, in order to translate the work within the governments and local administrations into the communication of our movement.
Profile
- You like to learn
- You live in Brussels or have an affinity with Brussels
- You are looking for a job in which you can show your commitment to the city
- You are flexible, willing to work evenings and weekends on rare occasions
- You can work independently and are able to carry out projects from start to finish
- You have experience in managing social media. An experience with Adobe software and creating visual content is an advantage
- You write fluently in Dutch and have a good knowledge of French
- You have political insight and can translate this insight into political communication
- You have experience in developing and implementing a strategic communication plan for an organisation
- You are enterprising and come up with your own ideas that you want to try out
- You are available full time and can start as per 1st September 2022.
